Making use of downtime

Workplace literacy and numeracy training to upskill the workforce at Dempsey Wood takes place in the downtime during the winter months when staff can’t operate on-site.

In this video by Skills Highway, Dempsey Wood management and staff reflect on the impact of the training delivered by Upskills. At first, some were sceptical about the need for it but what we delivered went way beyond the basics. It helped staff to gain the confidence required to improve communication and really come out of their shells.
